Focus Scoring

Focus scoring measures productive time by analyzing application usage patterns, giving every user a daily focus score from 0–100.

My Focus Page​

The Focus page (available to all users in the sidebar) shows five sections:

Today's Score​

A large score display with color coding:

  • Green (> 70) — focused and productive
  • Yellow (40–70) — mixed focus
  • Red (< 40) — high distraction

Below the score: Xm active / Ym tracked showing raw minutes.

Streak​

Consecutive days with a focus score above 40. Resets to zero when a day falls below the threshold.

Goal Progress​

A circular progress gauge showing how close today's score is to your personal goal. The goal defaults to 70 and is adjustable from 20–100 via a slider. The goal is stored locally per device.

App Breakdown​

A ranked list of your top 8 applications by time spent, with horizontal progress bars showing relative usage. Each entry shows the app name and minutes used.

Today's Timeline​

An hourly bar chart showing activity intensity throughout the day. Each bar represents one hour and is color-coded by focus ratio:

  • Green — active > 70% of the hour (focused)
  • Yellow — active 40–70% (mixed)
  • Red — active < 40% (distracted)

Hover over any bar to see: hour, active minutes, total minutes, and top app for that hour.

30-Day Trend​

A line chart showing daily focus scores over the last 30 days with a filled gradient area underneath.

In-App Focus Sessions​

If you use the built-in focus timer (Ctrl+Shift+F), your focused time is tracked separately and shown in a dedicated "In-App Focus Sessions" card with total time formatted as hours and minutes.

How the Score Works​

The focus score is calculated from data collected by the Telemore Monitor daemon:

  • Active minutes — time spent actively using applications (not idle)
  • Total minutes — total tracked time including idle periods
  • App categorization — applications are classified by type (productivity, communication, development, entertainment)
  • The ratio of active productive time to total time determines the score

Team Focus (Manager View)​

Managers see aggregated focus scores across the team in the Team Dashboard, including per-employee focus bars and a team average.
